| Abstract | Ovaj rad govori prije svega od Europskom parlamentu, njegovom nastanku, načinu rada, bitnim sastavnicama i svemu onom što tu instituciju danas čini prepoznatljivom. Također, u radu se analizira Europska unija, njezin nastanak, kao i ostale ključne institucije Europske unije; Europsku komisiju, Europski sud, Europsko vijeće, Europski revizorski sud i Europsku središnju banku. Europski parlament kao tijelo u kojoj je izravno vidljiva demokracija od velikog je značaja kakvog smo mi kao relativno mlada članica Europske unije postali svjesni tek posljednjih godina. Parlament, kao i nijedna druga institucija ne bi mogao normalno obavljati svoju zadaću bez unaprijed definiranih pravila, kao što su izbor zastupnika, proračun i sl. Kroz rad analizira se u velikoj mjeri povijesni aspekt Parlamenta, te njegovo „mijenjanje“ kroz godine sve do danas. Dakako, analiziraju se oni dijelovi i samog izbornog procesa za izbor zastupnika za Europski parlament, te osvrt i rezultati istih u Hrvatskoj. |
| Abstract (english) | This paper speaks first of all about the European Parliament, its origin, way of working, essen-tial components and everything that makes that institution recognizable today. Also, the paper analyzes the European Union, its creation, as well as other important institutions of the Euro-pean Union; The European Commission, the European Court of Justice, European Council Eu-ropean Court of Auditors and European Central Bank. The European Parliament as a body in which democracy is directly visible is of great importance that we, as a relatively young member of the European Union, have only become aware of in recent years. The Parliament, like no other institution, would not be able to carry out its tasks normally without pre-defined rules, such as the election of representatives, the budget, etc. The paper analyzes to a large extent the historical aspect of the Parliament, and its "change" over the years until today. Of course, those parts of the election process itself for the election of representatives for the European Parliament are analyzed, as well as the overview and results of the same in Croatia. |
