This thesis explores the Syrian conflict from the perspective of international law, providing a comprehensive overview of the conflict that has marked Middle East in recent years. The thesis is structured into several key chapters, beginning with a general overview of Syria's context and specifics, which facilitates understanding of the background of the conflict. The following chapter analyzes the warring parties and actors involved in the war, including internal and external entities that play a significant role in the dynamics of the conflict. A chronological account of the events in the war offers a detailed description of the key moments and shifts in the course of the conflict, enabling the reader to track the development of the war and understand the major turning points. Special attention is given to war crimes, including violations of human rights and international humanitarian law that have been documented during the conflict. The research methodology encompasses gathering information from various sources, including online resources, specialy one with UN and NGO reports, and relevant books about the Syrian conflict. This methodology allowed for access to a broad spectrum of data and perspectives, providing a comprehensive picture of the complexity and scope of the conflict. The conclusion of the thesis highlights the need for further research and international engagement to ensure justice for the victims and achieve a long-term resolution. Given that the war in Syria is still ongoing, the thesis emphasizes the urgency of international efforts to end the conflict and prevent future violations of rights.
