Abstract
Međunarodni kazneni sudovi su moderne sudbene institucije međunarodnih organizacija, osnovani različitim instrumentima međunarodnog prava u cilju progona i kažnjavanja određenih teških kaznenih djela na štetu cijele međunarodne zajednice u slučajevima u kojima je to kažnjavanje izostalo pred nacionalnim kaznenim sudovima. Razvoj međunarodnog kaznenog sudovanja započinje nakon Drugoga svjetskoga rata kada su osnovani prvi međunarodni kazneni sudovi ( Tribunali) kao reakcija na masovne i teške zločine koji su bili počinjeni u tom razdoblju. U ovom radu biti će kronološki prikazan put ka osnivanju međunarodnih kaznenih sudskih organa, koji se kretao od utemeljenja prvih „ad hoc“ sudova pa do osnivanja Stalnog Međunarodnog kaznenog suda.
Abstract (english)
International criminal courts are modern judicial institutions of international organizations, established by various instruments of international law with the aim of prosecuting and punishing certain serious criminal acts to the detriment of the entire international community in cases in which such punishment was absent before national criminal courts. The development of international criminal justice began after the Second World War, when the first international criminal courts (Tribunals) were established as a reaction to mass and serious crimes committed during that period. In this paper will be chronologically presented the path to the establishment of international criminal judicial bodies, which ranged from the establishment of the first "ad hoc" courts to the establishment of the Permanent International Criminal Court.
