The paper deals with a detailed analysis of the legal position of minors in sports from a national and international perspective. The concept of sport and its historical development are defined, following the changes in the law. In today's world, sport has a great presence in the lives of people, especially children, therefore the aim of the research is to create a comprehensive picture of minors in sports. Minors are protected by domestic and international regulations. The representation of children and the conclusion of legal transactions, primarily sports contracts, are particularly considered. The specific features of children's sports contracts, legal shortcomings and the contractual capacity of minors are highlighted. The protection of the rights of minor athletes at the international level has been achieved by the adoption of various regulations by sports organizations, such as FIFA and UEFA. The professionalization of sports has led to specific relationships between sports actors who seek protection through various courts.
