U ovom radu analizira se povijest, razvoj i sadašnjost Europskog parlamenta, jedine neposredno izabrane institucije Europske unije. Upoznavanje s Europskim parlamentom je neodvojivo od pregleda ostalih institucija Europske Unije. Europski parlament kao suzakonodavac donosi odluke koje direktno utječu na sve građane Europske unije i s vremenom te odluke obuhvaćaju sve veći broj područja. Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the history, development and present of the European Parliament, the only directly elected institution of the European Union. Getting to know the European Parliament is inseparable from the review of other European Union institutions. The European Parliament, as co-legislator, makes decisions that directly affect all citizens of the European Union, and over time these decisions cover an increasing number of areas.
