Abstract
U ovom radu analizirana je institucija Europskog parlamenta. Kao jedna od glavnih institucija Europske unije, vidljiv je razvoj, uloga i značenje Europskog parlamenta kao temelja supranacionalne organizacije. Uzimajući u obzir globalnu situaciju i stalne promjene u okruženju, politička važnost i uloga Europskog parlamenta, koji je predstavničko tijelo građana diljem Europe, dobiva sve više na važnosti. U ovom radu osim samog Europskog parlamenta pobliže su i analizirani drugi važniji pojmovi za Europsku uniju tj. kronološki je prikazan njen razvoj i način preuzimanja ovlasti.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the institution of the European Parliament. As one of the main institutions of the European Union, the development, role and significance of the European Parliament as the foundation of a supranational organization is visible. Given the global situation and the constant changes in the environment, the political importance and role of the European Parliament, which is the representative body of citizens across Europe, is gaining in importance. In this paper, in addition to the European Parliament itself, other important terms for the European Union are analyzed in more detail, also its development and the manner of taking over powers are presented chronologically.
