Abstract
Međunarodni kazneni sudovi ili „tribunali“ osnovani su s ciljem progona i kažnjavanja počinitelja teških kaznenih djela počinjenih na štetu međunarodne zajednice, kada kažnjavanje nije obavljeno od strane nacionalnih kaznenih sudova. Ovaj diplomski rad sadrži kronološki pregled razvitka međunarodnog kaznenog sudovanja koji se kretao od ideje o potrebi ovakvog sudovanja, preko ad hoc, odnosno privremenih međunarodnih, najprije vojnih zatim kaznenih sudova, ustanovljenih povodom određenog događaja u okviru kojih su počinjeni teški zločini, do ustanovljenja stalnog Međunarodnog kaznenog suda te naposljetku ustanovljenje i treće generacije kaznenih sudova, tzv. mješovitih kaznenih sudova, koje bi prema njihovim obilježjima mogli postaviti između nacionalnih i međunarodnih sudova.
Abstract (english)
International criminal courts or "tribunals" have been set up to prosecute and punish perpetrators of serious crimes committed to the detriment of the international community, when the punishment has not been carried out by national criminal courts. This thesis contains a chronological overview of the development of international criminal justice, ranging from the idea of the need for such a trial, through ad hoc, or temporary international, first military then criminal courts, established on the occasion of a particular event in which serious crimes were committed, to the establishment of a permanent International criminal court and finally the establishment of the third generation of criminal courts, the so-called mixed criminal courts, which, according to their characteristics, could be placed between national and international courts.
