Abstract
U ovom radu je analizirana institucija Europskog parlamenta kao jedna od glavnih institucija Europske unije čiji su se utjecaj, položaj, uloga, značenje ali i ovlasti mjenjali tjekom povijesti. U ovom radu ćemo se upoznati sa njegovim povijesnim pregledom, organizacijom rada, ustrojstvom i svime onime što je učinilo da ova institucija postane jedno od temelja Europske unije. Isto tako uočiti ćemo kako je uzeći u obzir situaciju na globalnoj razini te promjene u društvenom životu i okruženju dovelo do toga da politička važnost i utjecaj ove predstavničke institucije građana diljem Europe dobiva sve više na važnosti
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the institution of the European Parliament as one of the main institutions of the European Union whose influence, position, role, meaning and powers have changed throughout history. In this paper, we will get acquainted with its historical overview, work organization, structure and everything that made this institution one of the foundations of the European Union. We will also note that, given the global situation and changes in social life and the environment, the political importance and influence of this representative institution of citizens across Europe is gaining in importance
